How do you keep up with all of the AI hype and announcements?
Every day it feels like we have new announcements about AI company funding, new AI models, new applications leveraging AI, and new regulation discussions in AI. Feels a lot like the updates we had at the peak of Web3 & the NFT trading/minting frenzy.
I try to play with the new AI tools as they come out, but it’s impossible to keep up. I do take a look at Ben’s Bites every day as it’s a quick and simple daily newsletter that showcases Cool Tools and News.
What has become clear to me is that AI is becoming democratized, every startup, every pitch deck, and every large company is integrating or building a plan on how to leverage AI. I do think there is an opportunity for the application layer startups to have some big winners. They can move faster. They don’t need 100% accuracy because they are expected to make mistakes. They benefit from moving fast because the feedback loop of getting users will only make their models more intelligent. I also think there is less politics to deal with internally so many startups are going to get customers quickly by using AI in different niche verticals.
Finding companies that are moving quickly, applying AI to specific use cases, with founders that have deep domain expertise, is something that excites me.
