There were 5,000 people at Future Proof this week. Some incredible companies in attendance.
The future proof conference or festival is a massive event for the wealth management industry. We had a handful of our LPs in town as well as portfolio companies in attendance from Seeds, Archive Intel, Koyfin, GetLea, Stocktwits, and many more. It’s a jam-packed event for networking, seeing the latest technologies, and hearing some great speakers. For me it’s an easy drive north to Huntington Beach, but there were people in attendance from around the globe.
The booths every year at Future Proof get more and more creative, and some are massive! This year, VanEck, which has many popular ETFs like $SMH ( ▲ 1.2% ) had a great concept with their lemonade stands.
September is the kickoff of conference season and a busy time for many of us. It was nice to have an outdoor event where we can enjoy the sunshine.
The themes were consistent with my expectations- discussions on AI, AI Agents, new direct indexing capabilities like 130/30 products, democratization of access to alternative, and just an overall discussion of the technology landscape in wealth changing.
