$HOOD didn’t disappoint on earnings. The stock soared up over 13% today to become a $50B+ company on it’s way to $100B in my opinion. The sentiment and bullishness on Stocktwits are at the extreme level.

What does Robinhood look like in the future? The earnings call, which they did via video, and let retail ask questions (very cool), talks about being a major wallet share owner. More sophisticated trading tools. Tokenization. Private investments. Sports betting feels like it’s coming. There was a start-and-stop attempt, but it’s only a matter of time. As a customer of $HOOD, I can imagine a future where all stock trading, options trading, crypto trading, RIA retirement accounts, sports betting, parlays of stocks with sports, and cash management is done on Robinhood.
$HOOD is also putting on 3 events around the world this year including a crypto event in Paris. I think this will continue to differentiate them vs. the other brokerages in the world, especially the public companies. They are building their community and catering more and more to their user base.
With their TradePMR acquisition a few months ago, they are diving right into the wealth management space. The positive momentum for Robinhood is great news for Etoro which is set to go public this year. Alpaca, a Social Leverage Fund III company, powers Robinhood competitors all around the world. They are a modern Apex and are seeing record volumes and revenue with strong momentum.
Just a few months ago the mantra was “Fintech is dead” and now with $HOOD earnings, enthusiasm around deregulation, and new innovation being worked on from startups around the world, Finteh is very much alive.
