READ or READ 1H. My most used Bloomberg function during my career.
READ <GO> on the Bloomberg Terminal shows you the most read articles on the terminal. Find out what everyone else with a Bloomberg is reading. READ 1H <GO> Find out what everyone has been reading over the last 1 hour. I loved this function. It was my go to way of knowing what was being read and talked about at the water coolers. Most times it was breaking news at a macro level or a company that reported earnings, or a scandal. Sometimes it was something absurd or funny like “Man Streaking in NYC runs into hot dog vendor.”
For the last few years, I have given up my Bloomberg Terminal. The need as a seed venture capital investor is different. With Finchat.io I get everything I need for a fraction of the cost, plus I am an investor in the company!
The one thing I am missing in my life is READ <GO>. I want to know what others are reading. I have constantly wondered why don’t we have a READ <GO>, but for non-Bloomberg Terminal users? Something that follows me around the internet, captures all the articles I read, and shares those with others that use the app? Take it a step further, give me the ability to pay to know what others read. I would pay money to know what my partner Howard Lindzon subscribes to. I bet people would pay to find out what my old boss Dan Loeb subscribes to. From substack and beehiiv to paid media sources.
Imagine for 99 cents a month you can find out what someone subscribes to. As they add new paid or free sources they subscribe to you are notified. For free you can also see what the most READ articles are by all subscribers or create a group. For example, maybe it’s your fantasy football friends. See what they are all reading. Or you create a team at work, what are all my partners reading? We can make that group public or private.
For some people, this could be significant revenue. What if 50,000 people paid 99 cents a month to know what XYZ person was reading and that revenue is shared 50/50 with that person? Or 90/10. Thats huge! I’d let people know what I subscribe to and what I am reading.
I think Bloomberg has created some amazing functions, READ <GO> is probably the one I miss the most. I just hope someone creates something similar for the Non-Bloomberg user!

Natural Is planning to list on the Nasdaq

This is a paid advertisement for Med-X’s Regulation CF Offering. Please read the offering circular at https://invest.medx-rx.com
Natural solutions are already better for the environment. Med-X is taking it a step further: their natural pesticides outperform various chemical alternatives. Better yet, they’re taking on private investors as they plan their Nasdaq listing (ticker: MXRX). And you now have a limited time to invest before it happens. Med-X has had 200% revenue growth in five years. And with the pesticide market expected to grow 3X by the end of the decade, now is the perfect time to join them.
