The world’s largest wealth festival. Future Proof was an impressive event.
What Josh Brown, the Ritholtz team, & Matt Middleton from Advisor Circle have built in two short years is impressive, to say the least. Attending a conference or what they are calling a festival that is in Huntington Beach and right in the parking lot next to the beach is one of the best locations for a conference I have attended in the last 15 years. The opportunity to network, learn, and interact with others in the wealth space on the beach in the sun with a relaxed environment is pretty great.
The breakout sessions or speed dating was by far one of the best features of the conference. I heard from numerous advisors, wealthech startups, and attendees say that the quick 1v1 meetings were a great way to meet potential clients and partners. For Social Leverage, we were able to meet LPs that were in town, hear pitches from wealthtech startups, interact with wealth managers who are looking for alternative investment solutions for their clients, see some of our portfolio company founders & teams from SeedsInvestor, Stocktwits, & Koyfin, and learn about new trends in the industry.
Overall great event, a great location, great attendance, and one of the few conferences I look forward to attending year after year.
