Invest Alongside a Manager with a 40-Year Track Record

Private real estate has long been a cornerstone of institutional portfolios, but individual investors have often had limited access to the asset class - or have had to invest through pooled funds and intermediaries.

Lightstone DIRECT offers a different approach. Accredited investors can invest directly in select real estate opportunities alongside Lightstone, a vertically integrated owner/operator with more than four decades of experience and a $12 billion real estate portfolio.

We invest 20% or more of the equity in every offering, aligning our interests with yours from day one. Our in-house team oversees acquisitions, asset management, and investment execution, with property operations managed by Lightstone and, where appropriate, experienced third-party operators.

No blind funds. No intermediaries. Just direct partnership.

Accredited Investors only. $100k minimum investment.

That’s what I keep hearing. Is it true?

Money2020 happened recently, the Las Vegas conference, and it definitely didn’t feel dead. But if you ask founders raising, not the ones growing 10x, but those growing 3-5x, they are asking “is fintech dead?” They reality is fintech is doing well, but good financial infrastructure takes time to build. Regulatory moats take time to build. Licenses take time to acquire.

The generalist funds are not jumping into Fintech deals these days unless they are the top top top of the 1%. The reason is AI, deep tech, defense tech, and hardware are the hot trends. It’s what every generalist is chasing.

When crypto was down in the gutter in 2021, when Social Leverage started our Fund of Funds, nobody was excited about us investing in crypto managers. The reality is, the best time to build and build great companies is when industries are out of favor.

So like, how crypto was out of favor years ago, now is a great time to be building in fintech, it’s just going to be harder to do everything from recruit to raise capital.

The next generation of AI-enabled fintech companies and fintech companies that don’t need to be categorized as AI fintech are being built, and those that break out will be exciting to watch.
