September kicks off with the Fintech event in Montreal. I attended last year and it was a great event as Portage puts on a fantastic opportunity to network and meet companies. Many of our portfolio companies at Social Leverage will be making the trip.

Right afterward back in Huntington Beach is Future Proof. Arguably the best wealth management conference or should I say festival. Doesn’t hurt that the event is right on the beach.

Fast forward to October and you have Stocktoberfest. Back this year at the Del on Coronado in San Diego. Arguably my favorite conference. Heavy networking and great fireside chats. This is a must-attend for founders in fintech, data buyers from hedge funds, bankers interested in the fintech and data & information services space, executives at financial institutions and brokerage space, and those active investors who want to meet like-minded individuals. Looking forward to attending.

After that, you have Money2020 in Vegas. Likely a day trip or one night at most for me. Good events around the main event. I still can’t believe people pay for a ticket to this. So many good opportunities to network and meet people around the event in Vegas. Harvey at Caliber Corporate always throws a good happy hour.

Finally, the 10th anniversary of the Benzinga Fintech Awards will be in NYC in November. Beninga always puts on a good gathering and I was lucky enough to speak last year at the event where we took home the award for Best VC at Social Leverage.

Lots of other events I didn’t mention and it can be overwhelming when conference season kicks off. Stocktoberfest is in my backyard so I will definitely be there. All the others are penciled in.
