Chat Innovation?

Is chat innovation happening? Is Bloomberg making a move?
I don’t think so. Bloomberg released chatbots for their IB Chat product for Bloomberg Anywhere users, but ultimately, this just makes their core terminal product stickier. Did they do this to compete more with Symphony? Are they worried about the LSEG/Eikon/Microsoft partnership? I think in the end, chats in the financial space are hard to compete in, and Bloomberg is by and large the winner. It’s not worth competing or disrupting. $MSFT ( ▲ 0.36% ) and LSEG launching their spaces or new version of Eikon isn’t a real threat.
I think Bloomberg sees IB Chat bots as a way to make their core users more loyal and further integrate into their workflows. Bloomberg is rarely worried about what others do.
The IB Chat is the moat of Bloomberg. It is a reason for people to buy a terminal. Adding chatbots that make the IB stickier that integrates workflows is a key move for the future.
