We have seen the innovation and data being leveraged in the MLB as it was written about and in the movie Moneyball. But there are so many sports outside of the top 4 that have such a dedicated fan base. What if there was a company that was collecting all this alternative sports data?
AltSportsData is doing just that. The team at Alt Sports Data is working with leagues including Street League Skateboarding, World Chase Tag, The World Surf League, and many others. I met the founder, Joe, when I moved to San Diego and was naturally intrigued with what he was building given my experience working with alternative data.
Joe and the team are working with exciting alternative sports leagues to help them manage their data, monetize their data, build betting markets and models, and so much more.
It’s exciting to see San Diego-based startups having success, and looking forward to watching AltSportsData as they expand their capabilities and partnerships with Alt Sports Leagues.
