AlphaSense is rolling! $500M in ARR!
I have been a long-time user of AlphaSense when I worked in the hedge fund industry. I also used many of the companies they acquired, including Tegus, BamSec, & Canalyst. Today, they announced $500m in ARR and over 6,500 clients, including $GOOG ( ▼ 1.74% ), $NVDA ( ▼ 0.26% ) , $JPM ( ▼ 0.48% ) & $PFE ( ▼ 0.61% ). At this point they have to be on a path to IPO.
It will be interesting as a public company what sector they fall into. I don’t think they are really a $SPGI ( ▲ 0.6% ) or $FDS ( ▲ 0.7% ) competitor since they are more of a horizontal knowledge platform. Maybe they play the AI workflows technology positioning right and get the highest multiple possible. It will be intersting to see how Wall St. positions them.
They also announced the acquisition of Carousel today, which is an AI-powered Excel modeling platform. This likely fits nicely with their Canalyst product. The question is does this put them in competition with the private company Daloopa?
